Attack in Southern Austria Linked to ISIS

A stabbing attack in southern Austria on Saturday resulted in the death of one boy and injuries to five others. The perpetrator is linked to the ISIS terrorist organization.

As a result of a knife attack, which occurred in a suburb and led to the death of one teenager and the injury of five others in the south of the country, a suspect was arrested, linked to the terrorist organization 'ISIS'. This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Austria, Gerhard Karner, on Sunday.

'Identification of the suspected teenager is not completed, however, it should be noted that there are clear connections to the ideology of 'Daesh' (the English abbreviation for 'Islamic State'). This person was known to the police and was under surveillance,' noted Karner.

According to him, the teenagers who became victims of the attack are still in the hospital, their condition is assessed as stable. A video was later posted on social media, showing a moment of the arrest of the suspect.
