The transportation of gas from Russia to Austria has been halted for the second day in a row, the companies and sources of information reported.
According to the company Gas Connect Austria, the supply of Russian gas through the Baumgarten gas pipeline, which is a key hub for deliveries to Europe, has been interrupted. The reason for this halt is currently unknown.
"We are working to ensure everything is in order, however, at the moment we cannot provide more accurate information about the situation," said a representative of Gas Connect Austria.
Meanwhile, Gazprom has not commented on the current situation. Major consumers of Russian gas in Europe, such as Germany and Italy, have not yet noticed any problems with supplies.
