Terrorist Attack in Villach Leaves One Dead

In the city of Villach, Austria, a 23-year-old Syrian man with a residence permit carried out an attack by stabbing five pedestrians, resulting in the death of a 14-year-old boy. The suspect, considered an illegal migrant, perpetrated the violent act randomly in an area near the border with Slovenia.

Police spokesman Rainer Dionisio mentioned that the incident occurred around 7:40 PM, describing the attack as unprecedented in his 20 years of career in the press office. The man, who attacked people with a knife, shouted "Allahu Akbar" after the crime.

After the incident, authorities arrived at the scene to assist the injured, and photographs emerged showing the suspect sitting and smiling in front of an armed female police officer. The man was arrested, while the victims received medical attention.

On social media, the act has been classified as a terrorist attack, sparking debate about the need for stricter policies or deportations in light of the migrations from the Middle East to Europe.
