However, the competitions will take place in a new format, in accordance with the predetermined measures due to the pandemic. Before the start of the tournament, each participant will undergo a COVID-19 test. During the tournament, strict social distancing rules will be enforced. Keep in mind that the number of spectators will be significantly limited. As noted, the Grand Prix in Linz will feature the best athletes from around the world.
The sports director of the federation emphasized the importance of holding competitions in conditions that ensure the safety of all participants. "Judo is one of the most popular and technically complex sports. We are glad to revive the competition and very grateful to the organizers for ensuring the safety of the event. We look forward to the start of the tournament and our fighters on the mat," noted the sports director.
